Video Production | Photography | Design
My name is Alex Stiner, I am a recent Ball State University graduate who studied video production and strategic communications. Cinematographer, videographer, photographer, animator, designer. Whatever you want to call it I aspire to tell stories through the art of digital media and produce content that makes people feel something.
Studying video production at Ball State University, my biggest goal is to end up somewhere where I can create digital content and make a living. I've spent the last 5 years producing content for various organizations and channels and I want to keep growing and keep producing. Wether it be with a camera or computer software I've decided that inspiring others through video is something I am so passionate about and want to continue.
While at Ball State I engaged in multiple organizations, assumed leadership roles, taken on three internships and started my own videography business. I started Passenger Productions in December of 2016 to try to get more experience as a videographer and to build my own personal style.
Ball State has opened up many great opportunities, one as an assistant camera and a DP for Cardinal Cinema which airs on our local PBS affiliate. I also worked for Cardinal Communications, an on-campus Public Relations agency. After a semester on the creative team I assumed the role as Director of Videography where my team and I worked with clients like The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie, Yorktown Fire Department, the Shranz family and more.
Summer of 2019 I was able to take on a position at Cedar Point as their photo/video marketing intern where I was blessed with the opportunity to make digital content and work in a marketing office with a team that constantly pushed and encouraged me to try new things and produce the best work.
After Cedar Point I started an internship at the Ball State University Foundation as the video intern. The Foundation gave me the opportunity to broaden the Ball State University brand by creating engaging content that results in alumni benefactor giving. By using trending storytelling strategies and imagery I have been able to increase engagement on the Foundation’s social channels in some cases over 200%.
Most recently I was a communications intern for Worldwide Health & Safety at the Walt Disney Company. My position allowed me to create video, photo and written content that engaged with over 120,000 cast members with all of the Health & Safety brands. Currently I am a freelance editor and videographer in search of a company to call home where I can make a digital impact.
