My name is Alex Stiner. I am a recent Ball State University graduate with degrees in video production and strategic communications. I aspire to tell stories through the art of digital media and produce content that makes people feel something.
Whether it be with a camera or computer software, I've decided over the last five years that inspiring others through video is something I am so passionate about and want to continue.
While at Ball State, I engaged in multiple organizations, assumed leadership roles, took on three internships and started my own videography business. I started Passenger Productions in December of 2016 to try to get more experience as a videographer and to build my own personal style.
Summer of 2019, I was able to take on a position at Cedar Point as their photo/video marketing intern where I made digital content to be posted across all social media channels and park advertisements.
Upon completion of my Cedar Point internship, I started my new role at the Ball State University Foundation as their video intern. The Foundation gave me the opportunity to broaden the Ball State University brand by creating engaging content that results in alumni benefactor giving. By using trending storytelling strategies and imagery, I increased engagement on the Foundation’s social channels by over 200%.
My two video internships truly showed me that I loved theme parks and creating content that would be seen far and wide. I soon applied for and received an offer to become a Communications Intern for the Walt Disney Company. My position allowed me to create video, photo and written content that engaged with over 120,000 cast members with all of Disney's Health & Safety brands.
Because I loved Orlando so much, I decided to make it home after graduation. I am currently working for a local church called Faith Assembly where I lead the production of video and motion graphics. Getting to tell the story of a church through content production is a blessing, and I love seeing how my work makes an impact here.
